Traditional job-search tools were not built for the trades. Resumes do not capture real construction experience. Job boards do not let you showcase your certifications, past projects, or hands-on skills.
That is why Contractor Guy Network (CGN) created Skill Cards.
What Is a Skill Card?
A Skill Card is your construction profile built for the trades. Instead of writing a resume, you create a Skill Card that shows contractors exactly what you bring:
- Your trade and specialty
- Certifications and safety credentials
- Past projects and experience
- Photos of your work
- Availability and location
- Military or veteran status (if applicable)
It is a searchable, visible profile that contractors use to find qualified workers.
Why Skill Cards Work Better
1. Contractors Can Find You
With a Skill Card on plugintohire.com, you show up in contractor searches. They see your certifications, availability, and past work. They reach out directly.
2. Show Your Work
Skill Cards let you upload project photos and demonstrate your expertise visually.
3. Certifications Stand Out
On a Skill Card, your certifications are front and center. Contractors filtering by requirements see you immediately.
4. Veterans Get Recognized
If you are a veteran, your Skill Card highlights your military background and makes it easy for veteran-friendly contractors to find you.
